The First European Total Solar Eclipse in 25 Years
For the first time since 1999, Europe will witness a total solar eclipse. Totality can be observed in Spain, Portugal and Iceland.
More than 500 million people will see 80–100% of the Sun covered — a spectacular sight that will dominate headlines, social media, and public attention for weeks.
SAFETY FIRST
Not all eclipse glasses are safe. During previous eclipses counterfeit and uncertified glasses have flooded the market, putting children at risk of permanent eye damage.
